PenFit / Individual
For individuals

Value your retirement.

PenFit Individual starts with what matters to you, not with a pension product. Twelve simple comparisons are translated into a consistent view of six retirement approaches and their trade-offs.

What you do

You compare two simple statements at a time and say which matters more — A+, A, A/B, B or B+.

1
12 short questions

The questions cover income, certainty, access, change, care, legacy, control, simplicity and growth.

2
No household fact-find

PenFit is values-led, not an advice or asset-planning process.

3
See all six approaches

Results are ranked, but close trade-offs remain visible rather than presenting a false winner.

4
Understand the exchange

Each card explains what you get, what you do not get, and how easy it may be to change later.

Result card structure

Closest alignment, not a recommendation

PenFit shows how strongly each generic retirement approach aligns with the values expressed in the questionnaire.

  • What do I get? The characteristics the approach tends to deliver.
  • ×What do I not get? The trade-offs or characteristics that are reduced.
  • Can I change later? Easy, Possibly or Hard.
No clear preference: if the answers genuinely do not distinguish between approaches, PenFit can say so rather than manufacturing Rank 1.
Scoring governance

The Individual engine uses the bias-audited calibration.

The current build includes an equal neutral starting point, normalised score responsiveness and A/B presentation randomisation with scoring reversed automatically.

57.9
all six approaches on the fully neutral A/B profile
6 / 6
approaches capable of becoming Rank 1 in the stress test
2m
synthetic response profiles used in the model-neutrality stress test
